5th Semester Studio, "Ceramic Co-Op"
Started the semester off by creating a system with a classmate called "Cores, Floors, and Boards", where we designed housing units only made of those three elements. Then we transitioned into analyzing a low density housing project called "Plaza Borinquen". After that we split to do our own Co-Op housing projects. Mine was partially hand drawn, and made to have a ceramic studio on the ground floor. The curved shapes on the right side of the ground plan are the kilns, and the smaller lines are where the ceramics are stored to be dried. The plan shape was derived from the shape of an infinity sign. On top of the hand drawings, I also created an elevation painting as well as a worms eye.
